STAN — Stop The Abuse Now — is the mascot for North Mississippi Family Center.  He is an animated cuddly friend, which goes into schools, day cares Head Starts and other evens to teach children about abuse and how to talk to adults if they or a friend is being abused. The STAN program is geared toward lower elementary children and preschool.
